WW1 Imperial Mauser M84/98 Pattern Bayonet, the blade is maker marked Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche, with the pyramid trademark on one side on the other side is a knight in armour on a running horse, this is the Bayard trademark and comes from the famous knight Le Bayard of the middle ages,
The spine is stamped W16 (indicating 1916 manufacture) the pommel has an inspection stamp with the crown over the W which denotes Prussian ownership, the scabbard has a dent to the rear which I have tried to detail in the images although it does not deter the bayonet from fitting or closing, FOR SALE IN THE UK ONLY, OVER 18′s ONLY
